Turkeys for Christmas are thawed, so the turkey may have some firmness but it will not be frozen.

Check your turkey the day before brining or cooking and if it’s still a bit hard, submerge it in COLD water, in its original packaging, for 1 to 4 hours, changing the water every 30 minutes.
