Leading one of the longest lasting female-helmed wineries in Europe, Sybille is in her third decade of production. Her estate is nestled among the steep slopes of Germany’s Mosel region, an area considered by many to produce the world’s highest quality Rieslings. Her vines were first recognized as a highly rated vineyard site in 1804, under Napoleon’s classification system. Kuntz farms her 45-80 year old vines biodynamically.

Location
Qualitätswein comes from Sybille’s vines in Lieser's Pauls Valley as well as from vines in the neighboring communes of Bernkastel and Kues.

Production
Always picked during the first two weeks of harvest. Fermented with native yeast in steel, with malolactic fermentation and cold stabilization with an élevage for 5-6 months. Lightly filtered.

Tasting Notes
A dry yet vivacious Riesling with crisp green fruit, lime, apricot with white and yellow floral notes. A great balance of fruit and zippy acidity.

Pairing
An excellent companion for fresh oysters, shellfish, fresh goat cheese, spring rolls, chimichurri, and green coconut curry.
