Founding winemakers Jared Brandt & Tracey Rogers spent a year with the inimitable Eric Texier in 2002 studying the art of crafting minimal intervention wines in the Rhone Valley before co-founding Donkey & Goat in 2004 in San Francisco. Since then, they have moved their operations across the bay to Berkeley, initiating a Wine Block community with producers such as Broc Cellars, Hammerling and Vinca Minor.

"If Then" is a blend of sustainable fruit from El Dorado, Napa, and Anderson Valley, including Syrah, Pinot Noir, Merlot, Grenache, Pinot Meunier, Carignan, and Mourvedre.

Natural fermentation in wood tank & neutral French oak barrels. Unfined & Unfiltered.

Tasting Notes
Bright notes of raspberry, blueberry, and boysenberry are complemented by herbaceous and floral hints of violets, lavender, and sage. The palate delivers a burst of berry compote and wet forest floor.

Although easy to drink on its own, this "every day" drinking red is a great match for burgers, grilled lamb and vegetables, sausage, braises, pizza parties and firm cheeses like Manchego or Gouda.
